It is really happening!?!?

Let me first say, that I love my friends... You all are so sweet to check on us. So, let me catch you up. We got our blood tests back on Friday!! Yeah, I was so thankful. Today, during my lunch we rushed over to the court house and applied for our marriage license. It will be back on Thursday at 4:45.. nothing like cutting it close. But, no fear, we will be legally married! Thank goodness because I am getting married on Saturday! ha! :-)

And now, let me just say, I think I am in a bubble saying to myself this is really happening. I have dreamed of this day since I was little. As I got older, I always thought about who would be waiting at the alter for me one day.. and my one day has come. I just can't believe it. Most of you know that Patrick and I have been dating for over 5 years, and been engaged for a year and a half.. so sometimes it has flown by, and other times I thought it would never get here.. But, it is here!!! I am so excited.. Not to get sappy or anything, but I am most looking forward to this day because I know I am marrying my best friend, someone who loves me for me, and who will always take care of me. In marriage counseling something that stood out to us both is that as we grow closer to God, we will grow closer to each other! How awesome is that! I can't wait to share this day with family and friends.. Patrick and I are extremely thankful for each of you and are very blessed!

Okay, enough of that... It will be a busy week, but I'm just trying to enjoy it. That is my hope for everyone involved. Time to get more stuff done!

Wedding Dreams...

Well, I guess it was going to happen.. I had a strange wedding dream the other night. I dreamed that Patrick and I did get married, but I did not get to cut my cake, or do a toast, or anything at the reception.. I was devastated! How horrible! I told Patrick about it, and he promised to make sure that I did get to do all of those things. I am so thankful! Crazy dreams, I tell you, I might be going crazy. Well, everyone keep your fingers crossed that our blood tests come back tomorrow! I am hopeful. I have a busy weekend of trying to get everything done. Should be fun...

Things to Get Done: Blood Work: Check! ... Marriage License... still waiting!

So, in the craziness of life lately Patrick and I have not gone to get our blood work done.. yeah, not good when you are getting married in less than two weeks.. But don't fear we went today! Now, if I am my brother I would have to pump myself up and get promised a toy after! :-) (Sorry Adam) But, you know it's true. It was not too bad... but, Patrick and I learned something today about each other (although we had warned each other).. Are you ready!?!?!

We both have BAD veins!!!! At least we are in this together. We both had to get our blood drawn in our hands. Oh well, it really was not that bad, but just pray we do not bruise. We were warned about that, but hopefully that will be minimal. We do not need blue hands in our pictures, however, we will take them no matter what!

Now, we just need to hope that our blood work will be back on Friday like they said.. Then on Monday we can go to the court house and get our marriage license and everything will be just fine! However, if it is not back on Friday we will be cutting it very close. Keeping our fingers crossed. Word to the wise.. Do not wait to the last minute to get your blood work and marriage license. I was warned of this as well, however, as you can see I do not follow very good directions. I actually thought you had to do it within 30 days of the wedding. However, that is just not true.. You just have to apply for your marriage license within 30 days of getting your blood drawn. Your marriage license never expires.. Patrick and I could have done this a year and a half ago! Oh well.. lessons learned.

Soon to be Lowery's...

I will soon be a Lowery!

Well, after some convincing from a dear, sweet friend Patrick and I have started a blog. I wanted to do this to remember these times. For those few readers I hope you will enjoy this journey with us. Thank you Samantha for creating this wonderful design for us!

Less than two weeks away and we will be married! I can't wait!

However, let me catch you up on life lately. This weekend we moved. Well, Patrick moved for good, and I moved my stuff. We are so excited about building our home together. We are tired, but thankful most things are moved and have found a new home.
Thank you to our families who helped us so much. We could not have done it without them. We are very blessed, and grateful for all of their help and support.

We are getting everything together for the wedding. It has come together so nicely. I know it will be such an incredible day. Tomorrow on my day off we will be getting more things done. I can't believe it is almost here!

Hope you all have a great week!!!
